Life at Taman Jurong.

I am based in Jurong (Taman Jurong) branch with effect from 31 July 2008. Closed my first deal on 2 August. It was considered a small deal but I was proud of myself. =D

Went back to Centre for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training on 6 August. When I went back to the branch the next day and called one of my clients to arrange for him to come and sign the documents, he told me that he went down to Jurong branch to look for me the day before but my colleague just said that I am on course and closed the deal on the spot without informing me of my customer's arrival, which she was supposed to do. Lesson learnt. A very expensive one. SiGh~! Managed to close 2 more deals early this week though. A good way to start the week. Will be meeting two big ticket clients over the weekends. Let's hope I close both deals. *PrAyS*

Received my self-inking stamp last week and business cards today. Feels more like a banker now. =)

Met up with the other MTs on National Day. Belinda, Kok Sen, Benny, Xing Yin, Cecilia and Geraldine (together with her sweetheart, Ling Woon) came. We had our lunch at Aston's, The Cathay. It took them a very long time to prepare the food and we were all famished by the time the food came. Mine took the longest time to come. I was so hungry when they served me that I gobbled it all up in no time.

Xing Yin had to leave early because it was her grandfather's birthday. Geraldine and Ling Woon left us after lunch too because they wanna go pak tor. 重色轻友! =/ Kok Sen, Benny, Cecilia and I went to Minds Cafe after lunch to play board games. Had loads of fun playing the games there. My favourite game was 'Ticket To Ride'. It is quite challenging and requires the use of lotsa strategies in order to win the game. I enjoy playing it so much that I wanna buy it. HeE~! Went to eat tau hway at Rochor Beancurd after 3 hours of board games.

The guys went home after the tau hway session while Cecilia and I went grocery shopping at Carrefour before going home.

That might be the last time I see all of them together. As some of them are deployed to Sunday banking branches, it will be hard to arrange a gathering on weekends. Kinda miss them now. =(

Was talking to ZhiFa the other day and he was telling me that he intends to get a car because of his inconvenient work location. This tempted me to get one too. My branch is also not very convenient for me to go and I hate squeezing with the factory workers on the bus every morning. We were considering the Picanto because it is the most economical car available in the market now. He was saying that the Picanto is not fuel efficient, so we thought of getting a Honda Jazz, which is well known for its efficient fuel consumption. I checked the prices on the Honda website and realised that the Jazz (1.4) is more expensive than the City (1.5). As our conversation progresses, our ideal ride became bigger and bigger. HaHa~! Anyway, I needa save up for the downpayment first. Making good progress so far. =)

I did some maths on the installments. It is almost immaterial how much you put as down, because a bulk of the cost is from fuel, insurance and tax.

It's ok to pay slightly more every month and not dump a bulk of money into the down of the car, cos the car will definitely depreciates more than your cash at a faster rate.

Tempted~~ =d

-ZhiFa. Too lazy to log in.
