IT Show 2006

Went to the IT show at Suntec City with WeiQi today. Had brunch with WeiQi at this place called 'candele' at Suntec City. WeiQi ordered a chocolate truffle cake and a mushroom pie. The chocolate truffle cake was heavenly! Yummilicious. HaHa~! The boss actually served us personally. He even asked for feedback when we were leaving. Good service. Will go back again. =)

Got the screen protector for my mobile phone. It was only selling at $4.90 and the sales assistant even put it on for me. HeE~! I am so glad I got it. Now my phone looks clean and tidy. =) I also bought a 512MB thumb drive from Imation. Got it for $59. Saw Gary from my IBM lecture while we were leaving the exhibition hall.

After we were done with the IT show, we went to Marina Square to check out the bag I fancied. I didn't buy it though. I kept finding excuses to not buy that bag. I succeeded! HaHa~! I am so proud of myself now. ^_^ Had dinner at Marina Loft. Ate lemon chicken rice again. Not too bad. While I was eating my dinner, I noticed this uncle walking around. He had been walking around the food court since we were there and he was still there when we finished our food. He looked like he can't decide on what he wants to eat. He finally left the place without ordering anything when we were about to leave. Funny uncle. Saw Gary again when we left Marina Square. What a small world.

Walked to The Esplanade after dinner for a stroll. I was quite bored so I started taking some photographs for the surrounding. HaHa~! Here are some of my works:

Skyscrapers.

The most expensive 'durian' in Singapore.

Just found this structure rather interesting.

Colours By The Bay.

There were some stalls set up at the open field near The Esplanade. The things they sell at the stalls were nothing much though.

This was the only interesting thing that caught my eyes at the mini fair.

Gluttons' Bay. YuM yUM!

My office in 2 years' time. HaHa~!

We chanced upon the Mosaic Music Festival. Anna Belle Francis and Sheikh Haikel were the hosts for the evening.

Left after watching Sheikh Haikel recite a hip hop poem. No time to watch the rest of the performance 'coz I had to rush for tuition at 745PM.

We took some photographs before we left. Yes, we were bored. HaHa~!

Friends. =)

Trying to act lady. HaHa~!

Had to run to tuition after that. I meant run, literally. I was 5 minutes late. Not too bad. =P

It had been fun, but I am so tired from all that running around. It is now time for bed. I shall rest to recharge myself for another busy day ahead. Goodnight! =)

Honesty is a virtue

Was chatting with David just now. He asked me to go clubbing this Saturday. I wanted to go 'coz Radiah will be going and I wanna see her without her tudung. HaHa~! However, June and her friend will be going as well. Actually, I don't really like June. Didn't tell David that 'coz June is his friend. I just told him I don't know June well and I don't wanna go clubbing with her around. I should not have said that. Should have just told him the truth then he will spare me of his long winded four-legged-bert theory. SiGh~!

Going to the IT fair with WeiQi tomorrow. Will be dropping by Marina Square after that to look at the bag which I like. I can't make up my mind on whether to buy it or not. I have got so many bags now that I already have a mini pasar malam by the side of my room. If I lug one more bag home, daddy and mommy are sure gonna start nagging again. I really like that bag. Should I, or should I not? SiGh~!

Hay's Dairies

Chatted with WeiQi last night. We were talking about going to Bangkok for a holiday next year. Got really excited about it and ended up sleeping only at 2AM. HaHa~! Anyway, nothing confirmed. Both of us are still not sure if we can get approval from our parents. I had been to Chiang Rai without my parents, but that was a community service trip with the school during my CJC time. Wonder how they will react if I tell them I have booked a flight to Bangkok and will be flying off during the weekend. *ShRuGs*

Daddy decided to buy goats' milk this morning and we went to Hay's Dairies. Bought 20 bottles of goats' milk. Since we were already there, we went in to see the goats. Took some photographs.

Hay's Dairies

Leaving my footprints + fingerprints...

The Goats' Way...

First Stop: Milking Mothers

We missed the milking time, so we only got to see the mommy goats outside their barn. Sad. =(

Next Stop: Bachelor Goats

The first thing we saw when we entered the barn were the cute baby goats! They are so cute! HeE~!

More baby goats! I love them! HeE~!

Next, we move on to toddler goats. Playful little goats. HaHa~!

It's feeding time!

Pregnant goat mommy resting.

Kids just like to feed every living thing they see when they can't even feed themselves well.

Actually, I also like to feed. *ShY* But at least I know how to feed myself, OK? HaHa~!

While I was patting a goat's head, another goat came and 'molested' me from behind! I got a shock and jumped!

The empty milking area.

Went home after the mini tour. Didn't stay at home for too long and we were out again. Went to Sim Lim Square to assemble the barebone that had been sitting at the back of my room since last year. Walked around the place for quite some time before we finally found a shop which has the required parts. Daddy stayed to wait while the assembly and formatting was done. Mommy and I went shopping instead. Bought a new Microsoft notebook optical mouse from a shop at the basement. Sis bought a 512MB thumb drive. Got a good deal for it. Bought a make up pouch at OG on our way to Parco Bugis. Went to Casio and bought a new Baby-G.

Brand new watch. Still in its packaging. *HaPpY* =)

Was not very pleased with the staffs at Casio. They were really rude! Went into the shop to take a look at the watches there. I cannot decide on which model to buy. Needed more information. Stood around, but no one came to serve me. After a while, decided to approach the sales girl who was attending to another customer. She was just standing around while the customer was looking at the watches. Had noticed that she kept following that customer. While the customer was looking, she explained to him the functions of the models in great details. However, when I tried asking her about the functions of the watch I wanted to buy, she just listed out the functions monotonously without elaborating further and she went off to do her own things again. WTH! Do I look like I have no money to buy or what? I think I looked richer than that customer she was serving! Not getting the information I require, I decided to try another sales staff. This guy was serving another customer as well. Signalled to him that I needed help. I was told to wait. I began complaining to mommy about their service and showed a black face to him before he came over to help me. I asked him about the difference between the two models which looked alike and he too gave me a very simple answer without any elaboration. ArGh~! I felt offended! Wonder if I can write a complain to Casio about this. I bought the watch though. Managed to figure out the basic functions of the watch after some hands on. While I was paying, I purposely pulled out all the cash I had in my wallet to show him the stack of $50 notes I had with me. With the amount of cash I have with me today, I could easily afford to buy most watches from the shop. Just because that customer is older doesn't mean that he is richer than me, OK? ArGh~! I feel so offended!

Spent a lot of money today. Gotta start cutting down. Wanna start putting aside a sum of money for shopping in Bangkok next year. HaHa~!

Simply Gorgeous, Simply Me

Changed my blogskin to put the past away. Actually wanted to delete all the posts and start all over again, but I can't bear to do it. Afterall, they contain my memories, both fond ones and bad ones. Decided to change the blogskin instead. Still remember the last time I changed my blogskin and I changed it back after a few weeks 'coz it has almost the same design as so-and-so's, who I hated most. HaHa~! That was quite silly, but I really do not like sharing things with others, especially when she used to share HIM with me, without me knowing of course. Anyway, I think this blogskin will be temporary. Don't really like it as much as my previous one. Will continue scouting for one when I am free, so do expect a change again.

Irene had a bad fall

Bought a new Sony Ericsson K750i on Tuesday. I could not recognize the new ringtone when it rang yesterday. When I finally realized that my phone was ringing, I quickly ran from the kitchen into my room to get it. Unfortunately, I forgot that the floor was wet and slipped on my way to my room. Had a really bad fall. It was so bad that I cut my forearm. It is now swollen and bruised. My hip was hurt too. I can feel my whole body aching this morning. Couldn't write properly. SiGh~!

To make matters worse, WeiJun ran away from home. I was speechless when his mother told me this. He didn't seem like the type of kid who will run away from home. My two experiences with him were quite pleasant actually. After a while, I recovered from shock and asked his mother for the reason. She said she asked him to go swimming yesterday since there is no tuition. He got angry with her, packed some clothes and just left the house. Kids nowadays are more of a devil than an angel. SiGh~! Anyway, called Lily just now. Told her about the situation now. She too was surprised. She offered to call his mother, but I have yet to receive a reply from her yet. I think I should have this Sunday off.

Going to JB with HuiJun on Sunday to cut hair. Mommy went today and my stylist asked about me. HaHa~! He must miss me a lot. Afterall, I am a regular spender there. HaHa~! Will be going for a shopping spree after that! Lots of things to buy. Gotta write a shopping list before I go to avoid buying unnecessary items. After shopping, we will be going to Tebrau City for seafood dinner! HeE~! Sounds exciting, ya? I hope so too. Finally something for me to look forward to. =)

Happy Chinese New Year!

Woke up early this morning though I only slept at 3AM last night. Was invited to buffet lunch at Joanne's place. Met up with Daphne at Yio Chu Kang MRT station and we took the bus there together. Had a good chat with Joanne and Daphne. Nice food too. I enjoyed myself. =)

Went to my uncle's place after that. Daddy, mommy and sis were there. Played with my cute little nephew, HongWei. HeE~! My other nephew, YuJie was there too. Hyperactive boy he was. Kept running around. HaHa~! Watched TV while daddy was playing MahJong. Boring.

What a day.

Memoirs Of A Geisha

Went to Cosmetic Laboratory for eyebrow shaping this afternoon. It was my first time! Not as painful as I had expected. =)

Took a train to Orchard just to pick up the Malay-English/English-Malay dictionary for sis at Popular. Made a reservation sometime last week. Asked the store assistant about my reservation. Told him my name and what I wanted. He went into the store and searched for some time and came out with a malay dictionary. Then, he asked me if I am Mrs James who reserved that particular malay dictionary. Do I look like a MRS? And I thought I told him I am Irene Chew, not Mrs James? SiGh~! Told him I am not and that is not the one I wanted. He went in to look again. A while later, he came out with empty hands and told me that there is no record of my reservation. So, its either Yishun Popular's fault or Orchard Popular's fault. Whatever it is, it is still Popular's fault! What happened to my favourite bookstore? SiGh~! Went to look under the dictionary section to see if there is anymore copies of it there. Fortunately, there was. If there was none, I would have demanded to see the manager!

Walked around Wisma Atria and Takashimaya after that. While I was walking into Isetan, a little girl stomped by and stepped on my shoe. My new pair of shoes! ArGh~! I seriously do not know what her mother taught her. Her mother was holding her hands and she let her continue stomping when her daughter had stepped on me. No apology too. I was quite sure her mother knew what her daughter did 'coz there was a loud noise when the little girl stepped on my shoe. Ill-mannered mother and daughter.

Decided to walk back to the MRT station after that. No mood to walk around Orchard anymore. Went to Bugis to wait for Vanessa. Haven't seen her for almost one year! Waited for a while before she came. We went shopping together. Wanted to get nail polish and nail polish remover at Missha but many colours were out of stock. So was the nail polish remover. Went over to The Face Shop instead. Bought two bottles of nail polish from The Face Shop. We proceeded to Bugis Village after that. Nothing much to see or buy there, so we went back to Parco Bugis. M-industrie was having a sale. Vanessa and I bought a top each. We paid together and got 20% discount instead of just 10% had we paid separately. Aren't we smart? HeE~! Had dinner at the food court before going for movie. Watched Memoirs Of A Geisha. It was a great show! Must watch! HeE~! By the time the show ended, it was already 910PM. Both of us have morning class tomorrow, so we decided that it was time to go home.

It is now time to go to bed. Goodnight. =)

Kublai Khan

Walked around Park Mall with WeiQi before dinner. Passed by Artemide and saw Nana's husband, Edwin. Didn't see Nana though. Anyway, the lightings they sell there are nice. I like them. =)

Had dinner with EeHui, WeiQi, DanQing, Jason and Daniel at Kublai Khan just now. The food there was so-so. Not as good as what Adrian described to me. Was quite disappointed, but nevertheless, I had my fill.

Went to play pool after dinner. Didn't really play 'coz I don't really know how to play. I was so bad at it that Daniel had to "save" me on several occasions so that I can score at least one ball. HaHa~! While the guys were playing, a drunk uncle was playing billard on another table near us. He was playing alone. When he was done, he just suddenly turned to us and wished us youth and beauty always. -_- All three of us just smiled back, not knowing how to react. We left at about 11PM.

Walked to Somerset MRT station and took the train. On the way home, DanQing and I were already planning for the next gathering. It was agreed that we will have a sleepover at EeHui's place on 4 February. He will be contacting the others. =P

Reached home after midnight. Mommy and daddy were not happy. I am also not happy. I am already 20 this year, yet I don't have the freedom of doing what I want to. All these years, I had been a good girl, obeying their orders. I feel that I am living for them, not for myself. I am tired of this kinda life. I want to live life my way! SiGh~!

Action-packed

It has been a super duper busy day for me today.

Woke up at 8AM this morning. It was so cold out there that I didn't wanna step out of my blanket. It was so warm and comfortable under that thick cotton comforter of mine. Still, I had to force myself to get out of bed. The cold air pricked me. Brrr... It was really cold!

Had tuition with Louis from 9AM to 1030AM. He told me he did not learn his spelling again. Was really angry with him 'coz I gave him two more days to learn when he told me he was not ready on Thursday. Chided him for not doing what he was supposed to do and gave him another 5 days to learn everything well.

YuShan was next. We did revision papers today. All was well and we ended at 4PM sharp. Met her father downstairs and he was kind enough to give me a lift. He dropped me at Causeway Point and I walked to Shermaine's place from there.

Shared some ghostly encounters with Shermaine today. She is quite interested in supernatural happenings. HaHa~! Managed to finish one chapter for English today. Not bad. =)

Walked back to Causeway Point to buy the advanced theory guidebook for driving. The English edition was out of stock. It is the third time I go to Popular Bookstore without buying what I wanted 'coz it was out of stock. I wanted to complain, but was too tired to do so. SiGh~! Went out for dinner with mommy and daddy. Had butter crabs, hotplate tofu and mixed vegetables plate at a coffeeshop in Teban Gardens. The butter crabs were good. Yummy! HeE~!

Was late for tuition with Jaslyn today. Only reached her place at 845PM. She was asleep and I had to wake her up. She had been sleeping at 3AM every night. This girl is getting out of hand. Even her mother cannot control her. HaI~! As usual, she took her own sweet time to do the work I set her so we did not do much. Finally collected payment from her mother today. She was back earlier than I had expected. PhEw~!

Will be having dinner with EeHui, WeiQi, DanQing, Daniel and Jason tomorrow. Looking forward to meeting them. =)

Broke

I am so broke now! Just paid the examination fees at RELC this morning. The gate near the bus stop was opened, so it only took me five minutes to walk in. The queue was shorter than what I expected, much to my relief. Had lunch at Takashimaya's food court before rushing back to Woodlands.

There was a heavy rain, making it difficult to walk. I was thus, late for tuition. Charlene and her grandmother just came back from lunch when I reach her house. We ended up starting at 230PM though I reached at 215PM.

Met HuiJun at Causeway Point after tuition. Went to shop for shoes 'coz her pair just gave way. Took the train to Yishun to shop for her friends' birthday presents. She wanted to get something from TAKA, SK or CitiGems, but her budget doesn't give her many choices. Had laksa for dinner. Took about an hour to finish the bowl of laksa. HaHa~! We continued our shopping at NorthPoint after dinner. She ended up buying perfume at The Body Shop for her friends. We each bought a bottle of Velique for ourselves.

Rushed back home to pass mommy her laksa. Washed up a little before going for tuition again. Shared some experiences with Shermaine today.

By the time I reach home, I was already half dead. Tiring day it was. SiGh~!

Marital Status: Single

I am officially single and available again. It is over between Dave and I. Another record. One week.

I think I am cursed. All my relationships never last till Valentines' day. Maybe it is because I have not meet The One.

A note to Prince Charming:

I will be right here waiting for you. If you do not know the way, please consult the street directory. Available at all bookstores.

P.S. Please bring your steed along. I'd love to see it. ;)

Love,
Irene

Aeroplanes

Having some problems with Dave. No mood to do anything at all the whole week. I needed to talk to someone.

SMS-ed Vinci last night. Asked if he is free to go to the airport with me today. He agreed readily. We went to watch the planes fly. It was nice of him to go with me. Couldn't find anyone else to go with me since most of my friends either have school or work.

Didn't tell him about Dave and I until we reach the airport. I almost cried when I was telling him about our problem. I was very upset. He listened to me and offered some advices. Great guy he was. At least I feel much better now. =)

Left the airport after a while and went to Causeway Point for lunch. Walked around the shopping centre after lunch. Went to U2 with him and he bought a jacket. It was at a cool 50% discount!

Had to leave for tuition a short while later 'coz Mrs Goh called to inform me that tuition starts at 2PM instead of 3PM. I clearly remembered that it should start at 3PM but she insisted that we fixed it at 2PM. Anyway, no point arguing with her, so I went over earlier. Charlene was still taking her bath when I reach her place so tuition didn't start until 3PM.

It was raining so heavily that I was drenched even though I carried an umbrella. My slippers were soaked through. Might have to change soon.

Tuition with Louis will start at 7PM. I am so tired.

Happy 2006!

HAPPY 2006! I hope everyone enjoyed their first day of 2006. =)

School will start again tomorrow. A bit lazy to go back, but still, I have to. HaI~!

Christmas was spent doing manual work for daddy. Tiring job. Good thing I was rewarded with $50 at the end of the day. Anyway, the $50 didn't stay in my pockets for a very long time. SiGh~!

Boxing day was spent lazing around at home. Didn't do much.

Went for Jaymin's wedding banquet on Tuesday. Wasn't really close to her. Just went for the sake of going. Didn't talk much to the other cousins too. Kinda boring. The only thing that was fun there was the red wine. Downed one after another. Pure enjoyment. HaHa~!

Wednesday was a busy day. Had tuition with Charlene and Shermaine from 11AM to 2PM, and Jaslyn from 8PM to 930PM. Charlene and Shermaine were OK, it was Jaslyn who drained me of all my energy.

Went to meet Dave at Yio Chu Kang MRT station on Thursday. We went to Casuarina for some prata. Didn't get to taste the prata 'coz think the prata man forgot our order. Drove up to Pierce reservoir and took a short walk before he was called back for meeting. Went shopping with mommy at Causeway Point after that.

Friday was again another busy day. Supposed to have tuition with Charlene and Shermaine from 11AM to 2PM but Mrs Goh called before I step out of the house to change the time 'coz Shermaine had to go to school. Changed the time to 2PM instead. By the time I was finished with Charlene, Shermaine was still not home. Couldn't wait for her any longer, I left. Had tuition with DaiYing from 730PM to 9PM. Had English lesson with her and she was getting it quite fine. Happy. =P Dave SMS-ed me later that evening to tell me that he can't meet me for movie on Saturday 'coz he has a family gathering at his grandma's house in the afternoon. Was quite angry with him because of that. HaI~!

Had tuition with Louis from 9AM to 1030AM and YuShan from 11AM to 1PM on Saturday. Went to meet Joanne at Causeway Point after that. Had lunch together. It was really great to see her again. HeE~! We watched The Chronicles Of Narnia together after lunch. Fantastic movie it was. =) Went to Queenstown with my parents and sister after the movie. Went to IKEA but it was already closed for new year's eve. Didn't get to buy what wanted. =( Went to the hawker centre at Redhill for dinner. Ordered lots of food. HeE~!

Set off for JB early on Sunday. Dave SMS-ed me in the morning to ask me not to go to JB and accompany him 'coz he was sick. I was also sick myself but he didn't even spare me two hours on Saturday. Anyway, it was also not possible for me to tell my parents that I am not going, so I just told him to take care of himself and I will call him when I reach home. Traffic on the causeway was fine when we went in. Had lunch at Skudai Parade. Had my hair washed at a tiny salon in Skudai Parade. Don't really like their service and the products they use. SiGh~! Went for the wedding dinner at a local restaurant named Hui Bin Seafood Restaurant. The food was OK but the service was really bad. Left the restaurant at about half past ten. Was stuck at the causeway on our way home. The jam was so bad that we were stuck for more than two hours. SiGh~! Finally reached home at 1AM. Received an SMS from Dave. He asked if I was home. I replied. He replied to say that I didn't SMS him when I reach Singapore when I was intending to call him as promised when I reach home! HaI~!

Almost overslept this morning. Had tuition with Shermaine from 11AM to 1230 PM. Most of the time was spent telling her stories about myself when I was her age. HaHa~! Dave came to pick me up from Admiralty MRT station after that. Went to Sembawang Park for a stroll. Many people were there. Left after a while 'coz we couldn't find an insect-free seat. Went to the coffeeshop near Yishun MRT station for lunch. Had duck porridge 'coz I have sore throat. Went to Seletar reservior for a walk after lunch. Almost lost our way there. HaHa~! Didn't stay there for long. He drove me home according to the street directory. He just refused to believe me when it comes to directions. HaHa~!

It will be a new start tomorrow. Hopefully things will get better. =)

My New Year Resolutions

Went for the SingTel gathering yesterday. Finally met Radiah and Joy after a separation of 8 months. Missed them lots! HeE~! There were only 6 of us yesterday. Joslyn, Joei and Robby didn't turn up 'coz they gotta work, and as for MayHui, the reason is unknown.

Reached Orchard quite early and went to shop around at Takashimaya. Bought a hermit crab coin bank and a packet of bee-shaped paper clips. Cute! HeE~! Bought some accessories at Aries too.

Met up with Joy at Takashimaya. She was telling me about her encounter with Adam Chan. Well, not so much of an encounter, she and her friends just saw him near the fountain in Ngee Ann City. According to her, he was kinda waiting for them to approach him, but left when they finally decided to go up to him. She was kinda sad because of that.

Radiah was late, but JiaRui was later. We finally settled down at a Halal restaurant in Far East Plaza at about 8PM. Each of us ordered a dish. Joy ordered hotplate beancurd, Radiah ordered sambal kangkong, Dave ordered Thai green curry, David ordered sambal fish slice, I ordered lemon chicken, and we ordered butter prawns for JiaRui. Soon, all the dishes except the butter prawns were served and we tucked in. The butter prawns came much later after we finished all the other dishes. JiaRui was such a prawn lover, she ate the whole prawn, including the head, tail and shell. There were lots of laughter as we ate. Happy moments. =)

Left after taking a few silly photographs at Far East Plaza.

After looking at the photographs we took, I decided that it is time for me to start working out. Put on much weight after I left SingTel. SiGh~!

Green, Amber and Red

It was raining cats and dogs this morning. Perfect weather for sleeping. Too bad I gotta wake up early for IBM, which will start at 9AM. Afraid she will oversleep again, I sent JiaRui an SMS to wake her up. She woke up, but told me she won't be going for class. She wanted to sleep in 'coz of the rain. -_-

Daddy sent me and sis to school. There was a massive traffic jam. Heard a traffic report on radio and realised that almost everywhere in Singapore had a traffic jam. It was either due to fallen trees or traffic accidents. SiGh~!

During IBM, Nageb had the sudden desire to sit down in front of me. He asked me some questions. Fortunately, I was able to answer him. PhEw~! There were notes to be collected today. So, I had to lug four stacks of notes home 'coz I collected for JiaRui as well. HaI~!

I am exhausted. Feeling kinda sick today. No tuition tonight. Good.

Report: Presentation Of Idiotic Behaviours In Public

Encountered two hopeless idiots this morning. Two in less that half an hour. One at the carpark, another at the coffeeshop.

IDIOT #1: TAI-TAI STYLE AUNTIE
Spotted while she was washing her car in the carpark. Her car was parked at the parking lot for the disabled instead of the car-washing bay. All four doors of the car were wide opened, blocking the main passage way. Not only did she block the main passage way, she made the floor wet and slippery by asking her maid to scrub the rubber mats with detergent there. Almost everyone who passed by commented on her inconsiderate behaviour.

IDIOT #2: FAT WOMAN
Spotted with a man at a coffeeshop in Chong Pang. As I was entering the coffeeshop, this fat woman came from behind me and said "Excuse me". She sounded as though she owned the place and I was blocking her way. There was so much space around me where she could enter but she had to come behind me and walk the same path as I did. Feel like giving her a hard punch in her porky face.

Who will save me?

ArGh~! Someone please save me! Charlene's mom just called to cancel tuition for tonight. She told me her intention to stop tuition for one month too and asked if I am OK with it. Well, what else can I say? "Will you continue paying me if I say OK?" or "Can you don't stop tuition if I say I am not OK?" HaI~! I need to buy a belt. I can either use it to tighten my jeans or to hang myself. =X

=(

Little Geraldine is stopping tuition for one month. I will be out of job for one month as well. Gonna feed on air soon. SiGh~! Really wanna quit the Lee's but with Geraldine stopping tuition, I can't afford to lose that assignment. ArGh~! Don't feel like tutoring the twins tonight. HELP!

Cheesy moments

Invited HuiJun over for cheesecake this afternoon. She said my cheesecake tasted like yogurt. I think yogurt is nice but she found it weird. Anyway, she brought the Harry Potter books I wanted. Thank you, my dear cousin! HeE~! We talked about what to do after her examinations. Though it is a bit early since the written papers have not even start, it was fun planning for our 'great expedition'. HaHa~! Already looking forward to the end of her examinations. =P

Jaslyn didn't do the homework I gave her again. Spent the whole session teaching how to do the questions. I just can't stop her from talking. She always have something to talk about even when we don't bring it up. SiGh~! Hopefully she will do well for the upcoming Mathematics examination.

Ups and Downs

Was at Causeway Point this afternoon. Went to Popular to get some primary 3 assessment books and guides for Jaslyn. Ended up with $68.28 worth of books. Gotta call her mommy to get approval before I buy. I am lucky that she is quite generous when it comes to her daughter's academic performance. Just in case you were thinking that all parents should be, my twin students' parents are not.

Speaking of the Lee's makes my blood boils. It is the 8th lesson today. My pay day. Today's lesson was quite normal, with the usual deobedience. As promised, I brought lollipop for them. Mrs Lee was not very happy about that. She told me not to bring them sweets anymore. I wanted to ask her how to control her two precious boys without sweets when sweets are like everything in the world to them. I kept that to myself and smiled at her. After the lesson, she asked me why aren't I teaching them grammar and vocabulary. I couldn't take it anymore! I told her straight in the face that her children aren't fast enough for that. They can't even speak properly! Then she ask me how long will it take for me to finish teaching phonics. It will of course depend on the students' learning ability! Honestly, it will take a long time for them to grasp that. I told her it will take time as their foundation needs to be strengthened before they can learn new things. She 'questioned' me for quite a while before sending me to the door, without the money. I had to remind her that it is the 8th lesson today. She still had the cheek to ask me "Is it?" ArGh~! She went in to take the money and continued 'questioning' me. All the while she held the money in her hands tightly. I kept looking at my watch, trying to hint to her my intention to leave. She finally let go of her tight grip after 15 minutes and handed me the money. SiGh~!

Heard some really bad news when I got home. Aunt Kee passed on after a long and painful battle with cancer. Wasn't very close to her but was still quite sad. She used to dote on me when I was little. I remember playing masak-masak with the ornaments in her house and she never scolds me for doing that, only asked me to put them back in their original positions after playing. In my memory, she was a kind and graceful lady. It is a pity she passed on at such young age. HaI~!

HuiJun asked if I wanna watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with her after her A'level. Had to turn her down 'coz I have agreed to watch it with my best friends. I think this is the first time I am not watching a Harry Potter movie with her. Well, there've gotta be a first time. =X

*IrEnE lOoKs At ThE tImE nOw* It is getting late. Time for bed. Goodnight!

Rag-a-bone

Some Karang Guni man came to my house to get my old computers just now. The price had been agreed upon before he came. It was agreed that my Pentium II will go at $20 and my Pentium III at $50. Since both computers were self-assembled, there was no sticker/label to indicate the processor version. He came and roughly scan through the two computers and said that he can only offer $20 for each of them as there is no indication of the processor version . I almost threw him out with a broomstick! Had I known he is going to offer $20 for a Pentium III computer, I would not have wanted to sell it to him! $20 is an insult! Do I look like I need $20 to survive the day? Talked to his boss and he too gave the stupid explanation that there is no sticker/label to indicate the processor version. I almost exploded. I was so angry I shouted at him. He said I was rude to him. Hello! Who is it who made me angry? Who is the dishonest businessman here? Even if I was rude, which I don't think I was, he should not have made that remark. I was his customer. He then said he don't want any of the computers anymore. What kinda customer service is that? His business will not stay long if he treats his customers this way. Who would wanna sell their used computers to him? I know I won't and never will! Too bad I didn't get his company name, or I will definitely give him free publicity. What a jerk! Called a shop in Sim Lim Square and he offered $50 for my Pentium III computer after I told him its condition. He will be coming over in the evening tomorrow. Hopefully he is sincere about the offer he made.

Cards

It was Miss Goh's last lecture with us yesterday. She will be relocating to KL with effect from November. Time passed quickly and soon it was time to say goodbye. Quite sad that she is leaving. PBF was quite fun with her around. I can still remember her on the first lecture she conducted. The M&Ms. HaHa~! Just kidding. She made the boring topic more entertaining. It was fun watching her small body making big movements. Really miss her and her lectures. I wonder what kind of person will the new co-lecturer, Mr Jonathan Peh be like. I think it will take me some time to adjust to the changes. SiGh~!

Received two letters for me yesterday. A big one and a small one. The big one was a local mail and the small one is an air mail. I wondered who they were from. Then I saw the return address written on the backs of the envelopes. I immediately knew who the senders were. I quickly opened up the envelopes. Inside the envelopes were birthday cards. The big card was from my dear Tinky, XiangHong. The card was handmade by her! I was so touched! It was a colourful card with a short message in it. Love it. HeE~! The smaller card was from dearest EeHui who is currently studying in Australia. Sweet design. There were three packages printed on the card. The front cover was especially shiny with all that glitter. The blue, purple and pink colour scheme of the card made it look sweet. I like it. Was quite surprised to receive a birthday card from EeHui. Didn't expect her to send me one all the way from Australia. Then I read the long message she penned inside the card. She was too nice and so had to get me a card. HaHa~! Miss her. Wonder when she will be back in Singapore so that we can have another gathering or another night long mahjong session. HaHa~!

Our first IBM assignment was given back to us this morning. I didn't score well. Just pass. I don't understand what he wanted me to discuss when the question says describe, which I did. Then I realised that my examples were not good enough. I just have to work harder for the next assignment. SiGh~!

It is hard to organise an outing with everyone having such different schedule. Can't have it in the afternoon during weekdays 'coz Pauline gotta work. Can't have it in the evening during weekdays 'coz I gotta teach. Might have to settle for midnight shows and supper then. Hopefully we'll be able to get approval from our parents. Really miss all of them.

There is a PBF test on November 9. Two whole chapters and I have not study. SiGh~!

Happy 19th Birthday!

I am 19 today! HeE~!

Went to tutor Charlene in the morning. I was late by 15 minutes 'coz I missed the bus. Tuition with Charlene went well. Gave her lots of homework since examination starts next week. HaHa~!

Had lunch at LJS after tuition. Ordered Combo 1. The chicken pieces were so damn small and there were so little fries! Should have gone over to BK and order a Big Fish. SiGh~!

Tuition with YuShan started at 2PM. Gave her a test. The questions were quite easy but she didn't score well. In fact, she didn't pass. She only scored 21/47. No good.

Went to EngWah @Sun Plaza to meet RouShen after leaving YuShan's place. She and Pauline bought me a silver bracelet for my birthday. HeE~! It is lovely. =) Didn't stay for long. Had to leave for dinner with my family.

Dinner was at Chye Lai. The food was so-so. It is not as good now as compared to last time.

Went home after dinner to cut the cake. The birthday cake was from Prima Deli. Not my favourite Chocolate Fudge though. It is a Strawberry ShortCake.

Notice my right eye? The blood clot is still there and it is so ugly! ArGh~! Hopefully it will go away in one week just like the doctor said. HaI~!

A long walk

Went home by foot today. All the way from Charlene's place in Woodlands to my house in Admiralty. Got two big blisters on my feet now. OuCh~!

Charlene's grandmother told me that the woman who passed away on Saturday because of dengue fever is her brother's wife. HaI~! She was gone just like that. Life is so fragile. Just a little mosquito bite can be so fatal. People should learn to cherish their life more and treasure their loved ones before it is too late. SiGh~!

Will be meeting RouShen at her work place tomorrow after tutoring YuShan.

YuShan got B4 for her Maths SA. She said her personal record was C5. Though it is only an improvement of one grade, I am still happy. At least she didn't score worse. =)

I will be officially 19 tomorrow! It is my birthday. =)

Sore Eyes

*SoBz* As if my eyes are not red enough. I have just been diagnosed with SORE EYES by the doctor at The Jurong Dispensary, a clinic at Clementi Central. JiaRui went with me. We left the PBF class together during break 'coz my eyes were so red that I couldn't see clearly. JiaRui left with me 'coz she didn't wanna sit in the lesson anymore. HaHa~! Took a bus to Clementi Central and began searching for a clinic. No clinic in sight, only a dispensary. We didn't think that it was a clinic until we saw the 'Consultation Hours' sign outside the dispensary. Waited for a while and saw the doctor. He checked my eyes and said immediately, "Sore eyes." He said that my eyes should be fine in two days but the blood clot will take a week to go away. Now I gotta walk around with 'bleeding' eyes for one week. SiGh~! I was out of the consultation room in less than five minutes. The doctor prescribed a bottle of anti-inflammatory eye drops and some tablets to reduce the irritation. The total bill came up to $22. That was expensive for a less than five minutes consultation! SiGh~!

It is my birthday this Saturday and I haven't think of what I want for my birthday present. Maybe I'll just ask for cash if I still can't think of any on Friday.

Oh-oh!

JiaRui gave me a call last evening. She said she wanted to kill me. I was wondering what did I do again. She told me that the sales girl at The Face Shop said that they are still giving away posters of Kwon Sang Woo with the purchase of a bottle of perfume. I was like, "HuH~?! Are you sure?" I was told a different thing when I was there on Thursday. I even asked the sales girl twice! SiGh~! Fortunately, JiaRui already cooled down when I call her again. PhEw~!

I realised that my students like me too much. One of them wants tuition three times a week, the other wants me to stay longer every lesson. Hello! I am not sold. I must have my own personal space, without students! SiGh~! I better keep my distance before they demand more of me. =X

Finally, it is rest day. I feel better now. Imagine giving tuition twenty-four-seven, I can really walk like a corpse everyday. No life! I just need one more high value student to replace the twins and that's it, enough.

Went to a coffeeshop in Yishun for breakfast this morning. Ordered teh-sih. Only one word to describe that cup of teh-sih, YUCK! The tea was too strong. I can't taste the milk at all. Had a terrible stomachache after drinking that. I am never gonna drink anything from that coffeeshop ever again.

Watched Corpse Bride just now. It was OK. I was expecting something better though.

It had been raining since morning. Nice weather. I love it!

The Face Shop

Went to The Face Shop yesterday. Bought two bottles of nail supplement. Asked the sales girl about the Kwon Sang Woo poster. She said that it doesn't come with the purchase of the perfume anymore. The only way to get the poster is to spend $60 and above in a single receipt. Told JiaRui about it. She went "What?!?!" Can tell that she is pretty upset about that. HaHa~!

Maths lecture was unbearable. Sat beside Cindy and Velda. They were talking non-stop. JiaRui said they were like mosquitoes. She had blacklisted them. HaHa~!

Cleared my computer table in the afternoon with the help of daddy. He moved the printer away. Finally, I have a proper place to work at now. No more lying on the bed with my laptop and getting backaches. =) More cleaning to be done tomorrow. It's gonna be a busy day. HaI~!

Went for tuition at the Lee's. Almost fainted there. The twins were too much for me to handle. Gotta get the elder one to do his homework while teaching the younger one to do his maths correctly. SiGh~! I don't mind those if I am paid more, but for $8.75 per hour, no thanks! I already felt like quitting this assignment on the very first lesson, for various reasons. The location is rather inaccessible. I hate walking such long distance between blocks of flats, especially after nightfall. Another reason being the agent withheld some information when she gave me the assignment. She did not tell me it is twins. I would not have accepted the assignment had she told me the details. ArGh~!

Tomorrow's schedule is kinda tight. Gotta tutor Geraldine at 11AM, YuShan at 2PM and Jaslyn at 8PM. Tiring.

Malaysia again

Was joined by MayHui on the way to school this morning. Was quite surprised to see her. We arranged to meet at Jurong East MRT after class. We were early. A train was already waiting at the middle platform when we were there. MayHui came just as the doors were about to close. She dashed into the train and the doors closed, leaving me and JiaRui outside. We were laughing like mad. HaHa~! We 'reunited' at Bukit Batok. We continued chatting along the way until MayHui and JiaRui alighted at Woodlands.

I went home to get my passport and left the house again after 15 minutes. Met up with HuiJun on bus 965 and we went to Malaysia together. I bought Lucidol hair wax, 2 Winnie The Pooh files and 5 Loony Tunes notebooks. Had lunch at MacDonald's. Wanted to catch a movie at Mega Pavillion but HuiJun didn't wanna watch the available shows 'coz she don't dare to watch horror movies. SiGh~! Left City Square at about 6PM. There was a bad traffic jam at the causeway. Took us some time before we finally reach the checkpoint. Went to Burger King @Causeway Point for dinner. We went home together after HuiJun got her nail buffer from Chameleon.

Hogwarts

HuiJun's preliminary examinations will end this Thursday. Will be meeting her on Friday. We have not decide on where to go yet. Maybe Malaysia. Maybe Orchard. Don't know. Might be going to Escape with her on Sunday. Hope she is fine. She SMS-ed me last Thursday, asked me if we could have a chat. She called me and we talked. She was very worried about A'level. After chatting for a while, she suddenly cried. She was very agitated. I was accused of not putting myself in her shoes. I felt anger. I refuted. As a matter of fact, I was like her this time last year. I too was stressed and worried. The tertiary education I am receiving now don't come easy. The cost is already enough to hammer me down to Earth. After forking out close to $4K out of my own pockets, I am still debt-ridden. After telling her all these, she told me that she can do that easily by working during the break. She is assuming that she will get a job that pays as well or she will get the same job as I did, and she will do as much OT as I did. SiGh~! She don't understand. Anyway, no point telling her all these now. I just hope she gets through the rough time.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is coming soon! It will be released in Singapore on 17 November. YeAh~! I've been looking forward to it since they announced the filiming of the movie. It is finally here! HeE~!

Yan is back! YiPpEe~! After such a long while, it sure is nice to hear from her again. HeE~! We should have a gathering to celebrate Yan's return. Shall talk about it with Pauline later. ^_^

Fritters and Soya Milk

Went to IMM on Saturday. Daddy wanted to get something from Hoe Kee. Lin Jun Jie was there too. Didn't see much of his performance 'coz it was too crowded and I am too short. Caught a glimpse of him when I was on the escalator. He was wearing a pink jacket. I thought it was cool. When I saw him, he was singing Dou Jiang You Tiao and the crowd was screaming like mad. It was nice to hear him sing that song, live. It is one of my favourite songs. =)

Dinner was at Tiong Bahru hawker centre. Had Satay BeeHoon, Char Kway Teow, Fried Oyster, Chwee Kueh and Pau. Wonderful! =)

Was in Malaysia yesterday. Visited the salon and got my stylist to cut my hair. I am very satisfied with my new hairstyle. Excellent stylist. =)

Went to City Square after that. There were a lot of people. Didn't buy anything. It was the first time I go shopping without buying anything. Great! =)

There was a terrible jam at the causeway and we were stuck for about an hour. When we finally reach the checkpoint, the custom officer asked me if I am the person in the passport. -_- Don't I look like myself? SiGh~!

Reached home at about 8PM. Watched TV non-stop till 11PM. Channel U was showing Makings of The Maid at 830PM and Love Me, Love My Money at 9PM.

Watched The Maid on Friday. I think that the guy who played Ah Soon is a great actor. He really looked and behaved like a mentally retarded boy in the movie. Anyway, the film was very well done. It gave me nightmare the very night I watched it. It had been some time since I last got nightmare after watching a horror movie.

After taking my bath, I continued watching TV. Channel 8 was showing My Date With A Vampire III. The show ended at 1AM and that is the time I go to bed.

Feeling wasted now. Spent my term break lazing around. SiGh~!

End Start Future

Classes will start again next Tuesday. Haven't been doing my assignments since Monday. I am still left with half an essay for IBM and one full essay for PBF. I am not able to finish the IBM essay 'coz I do not have enough information to the second part of the question. Will go to the library on Tuesday to find that book by Rosemary Stewart. As for PBF, I am just too lazy to complete it. Anyway, deadline for PBF is 29 September. Not urgent. HeE~!

So sweet of her to come all the way to my house specially just to pass me the recipe. HeE~! The last time I saw her was one month ago when I asked her uncle to help me fix my Acer Travelmate T630. Miss her! =)

Shopping Queen

Was in Bugis yesterday. Had lunch at LJS. Ate fish with fiery black pepper sauce and rice. It tasted OK. I'll give it 6/10. Went to the temple after lunch, offered joss sticks and left. Walked around OG after that. It is the membership season again. For every $75 spent in a single receipt, the shopper will be entitled to an OG membership card valid for one year. Saw a few skirts and a denim jacket that I really like. I had the impulse to buy them all and get that membership card but realised I shouldn't be spending so much since my income has significantly reduced. Might go again with mommy today so that we can share cost. HeE~!

Charlene's grandma called me on Thursday asking if I wanna tutor Shermaine too. Shermaine is Charlene's elder sister. I was asked to tutor her for Mathematics. She already has a tutor for English, Mathematics and Science but her results had been deproving since they engaged this tutor. Her parents were quite disappointed with her performance and wanted to change the tutor. Since I am tutoring Charlene and she likes me, they want me to tutor Shermaine as well. However, Shermaine didn't want to change tutor. Her parents said they will talk to the girl again. I can tell that her parents really wanted to get a new tutor for their elder daughter. Hopefully I get this assignment so that I can have extra income, but it all depends on Shermaine. No point forcing the girl to change her tutor when she do not want to. I think it might even affect her results.

Going tutor YuShan at 2PM. It is starting to rain now. Will have a problem getting to her place later. SiGh~!

Contradiction

I hate him. I really hate him. I hate him so much that I will give him a tight slap immediately if I ever see him again. I hate him to the core. I don't understand why I still give a damn about him.

I accidentally found out that he is having problems with his current girlfriend. I realised I was smiling. Inside me, I was laughing. Laughing at his plight. Laughing at him for being a clown in front of his new girl. His childish, immature, act-cute, domineering girlfriend. I am glad I didn't cry for him. He is not worthy of my tears. It was his loss, not mine.

I still feel disgusted when I think about what he used to say to me. Those disgusting professions. Those RUBBISH.

I HATE HIM.

Basic Theory Test

Went to SSDC to take my Basic Theory Test(BTT) today. Had to leave my IBM lecture before it actually ends. I was surprised Mr Nageb actually allowed me to leave early and even wished me luck. I was actually expecting a scolding from him for asking if class will be extended today. PhEw~! Anyway, I passed the test. YeAh~! Don't think I am applying for the PDL anytime soon. Maybe after my income has stabilised. No spare cash to take the practical lessons yet. =(

Was supposed to tutor a Primary 3 boy yesterday morning but I was told to go home when I reach the place. It turned out that the same agency had arranged for another tutor to give tuition to the same kid. ArGh~! I was so angry that I called the tuition agency immediately and gave them a big scolding. The agent who offered me the assignment wasn't around when I called in the morning, so I kept calling the agency until the agent picked up the call. I think I called them about five times and all she could tell me was that she will check and call me back. SiGh~! About an hour later, the agent called again. She asked if I was interested in an assignment which will start today at 3PM. She did not tell me the rate, neither did she tell me the level nor the subject. I can't accept the assignment as my BTT starts at 2PM today. She said she will check again and call me back at 1230PM today. So far, I have not receive any call from her today. HaI~!

Going to tutor a Primary 1 girl tonight. This is the second time I am seeing her. Had our first lesson on Tuesday evening. She is a very quiet girl. I think she opened her mouth for less than five times that night. When I tried to make her talk, she just smiled at me. I hope we can interact more tonight.

Might be going to Daiso tomorrow. Suddenly feel like spending money. HaHa~! Haven't been buying anything for myself these days. Not feeling too good now.

Boy and Girl

1. When a girl keeps smiling at you, it means she likes you.
2. When a girl does not reply your SMS for after a few hours, it means she is angry with you. Go think about what you have just said or done to her.
3. When a girl takes the initiative to kiss you, it means she likes you a lot.
4. When a girl repeatedly asks if you like her, tell her the truth, don't beat about the bush.
5. If you want to reject a girl, tell her clearly, face to face.
6. If you have already thought it over carefully, then don't give the girl false hopes.
7. If you really like the girl, show it to her. You are a guy. Take the initiative.
8. Most girls are generally weaker than guys, so don't walk too fast when you are with her.
9. If a girl takes the initiative to ask you out, it means she likes u.
10. If a girl takes the initiative to SMS you in the middle of a lesson, no use asking her to concentrate.
11. Don't let the girl take the initiative to ask you out all the time!
12. When she asks "What are you doing?", it means she can't wait to come over and keep you company or she wants you to talk to her.
13. Don't be so block-headed when you are with her. She might be dropping you a hint.
14. A girl likes you to show some concern when she is down.
15. Don't stuff her with food, 'coz you know girls like to be slim.
16. If a girl keeps all the SMS you have sent her, it means she likes you a lot.
17. If a girl refuse to watch your soccer match, it doesn’t mean that she doesn’t like you. She is just not prepared to meet your friends. Give her more time.
18. If a girl always take the initiative to send you an instant message when you are online, it means that she is interested in you. If you like her, don't let her take the initiative all the time.
19. If a girl dreams of you in her sleep, and wakes up crying, it means she is scared that she will lose you.
20. If a girl takes the effort to type all the 20 sentences out for you to read, it means that you matter a lot to her.

I got this from a friend's blog. I didn't get her permission to reproduce this in my blog though. =P To protect her identity, I shall not mention her name here. I think these are what girls expect their boyfriends to know when they are attached. Though I am single now, I totally agree with her. Sadly, most guys do not realise these little details until it is being spelt out clearly for them. SiGh~!

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory

Was informed of a tuition assignment on Friday. The student is a Sec 2 girl currently studying at Chung Cheng High School. Subject is E-Maths. Once a week, each time 2 hours. Every Saturday, 2PM. Went for it yesterday. Tuition was fine. Went through her test papers, found that she made a lot of careless mistakes, which was one of the reasons why she scored low marks. She had problems with algebraic manipulation. Went through many questions with her and tried to make her see the pattern. Guided her through most of the questions until she was confident enough to solve it herself. Gave her some questions to practice. Will be checking them through when I go next week.

That was my first tuition assignment. I am so glad I pulled through. ^_^ I still can't believe that I am a tutor now. I can still remember myself struggling with those Maths questions when I was a Sec 2 student myself. It seems as though it was only yesterday. Hai~! Suddenly realised that I have grown up. Not a kid anymore. I miss those days when I had no responsibilities. I was so carefree. Time flies. There is no turning back now. I can only make the best of what I have now and enjoy it while I still can. Maybe that was the reason why tears rolled down my cheek involuntarily when I was watching the NDP replay yesterday. The kids were singing a song titled "Counting Wishes". The kids were so pure and innocent. They seem to have no worries at all. I can never be like them anymore. SiGh~!

Watched Charlie and The Chocolate Factory last night. It was an interesting movie with a touching but happy ending. I love it! In fact, I wanna watch it again! HeE~!

Finished watching Good Luck! just now. ShinKhai had promised Ogawa that he will take her up into the sky to watch the most beautiful sunrise, and he did. So sweet! Well, that is not likely to happen in real life. Actually, I do not expect a lot. I only hope to watch the sunrise together with my beloved everyday, though it would be nice if he will do what ShinKhai did. That will be an added bonus. HeE~! Well, till I find Mr Right.

Daddy just came back from Bangkok today. He bought my favourite dried guava and mangoes. YuMmY! He bought some trinkets too. Nice little things. I like them. =)

Was told by ShuYing that GuoLiang is in the same course as I am. Such a coincidence. So far, I have not seen him in any of my lectures or anywhere else in the campus.

*YaWnZ* I am sleepy. Wish me sweet dreams. You too. GoodNight!

Bali

Was in Bali between 5 August and 8 August.

Bali was fantastic! Went to lots of places for sight-seeing, and of course lots of shopping too! HeE~! The things there were quite cheap and it was fun trying to bargain with the vendors with the tiny bit of Malay I know.

Batik drawing on the sleeve of my T-shirt.

The monkey family at the Monkey Forest was kind enough to pose for a picture. Look! Mommy Monkey is smiling at the camera!

This was taken at the second largest Balinese temple. The temple used to belong to a royal family.

Brrr! Located at 1200M above sea level, it sure was cold at the second largest lake in Bali.

Sunset at Tanah Lot. Beautiful, isn't it?

Hard Rock Cafe in Bali.

The tour guide who showed us around was a humourous and nice guy. He speaks good English too. During long rides, he would tell us lots of facts about Bali. Learnt quite a bit from him.

Balinese lady carrying offerings on her head. The guy on the right is our tour guide.

We stayed at The Patra Bali, a 5-star resort-hotel near the Denpasar airport during the trip. It is quite a big place so we had to walk quite a distance from the lobby before we reach our rooms. The resort-hotel is near the sea. Nice view.

Playing giant chess at the resort-hotel.

At the pool side.

ShI zI lU kOu ChEnG gOnG!

Bali is certainly a place worth visiting. The rich culture of the Balinese is already good reason to revisit the island province of Indonesia. Hope to travel there again soon. =)

Crystal Jade

Had breakfast at Crystal Jade this morning. Reached Causeway Point at about 945AM thinking that it was 1045AM all along. I was kinda blur when I woke up. Maybe 'coz of the terrible stomachache I had during the night. =S

Went shopping for groceries at Cold Storage and NTUC after that. Bought loads of things. Mainly food. HaHa~!

Came home at about 3PM and started clearing my wardrobe. Threw out some old clothes and packed away my old school uniforms/T-shirt. After clearing, I still have a wardrobe full of clothes. I think I better stop shopping for a while. =P Packed my luggage too. Leaving this Friday.

Had spagetthi for dinner. Sis cooked. I washed. YuM~! =)

SingTel

Today's my last day with SingTel. JiaRui came over and waited for me to knock off. Slacked the whole day but I still managed to hit more than 60 calls. I think it takes skills to hit 30 calls a day just like Albert did when he was there. I never knew how he did it. Anyway, his application for permanent part time was approved. I just hope he will hit more calls when he goes back to work.

Nages came and assigned a girl, Judy to me for double-banking. Kinda funny 'coz it was my last day and I spent most of my time walking around instead of taking calls. HaHa~! Poor girl. She didn't get to learn much from me today. =P

Everyone was expecting my farewell e-mail today. I didn't send any. Dan and Vinci asked. I think I was just too lazy to type anything. No pictures were taken too. Except for one taken with my team leader, Jun. I wonder if I will miss working at SingTel. Well, I don't know now since I only left that place just a few hours ago.

Had dinner with JiaRui at Junction 8 just now. She accompanied me home after that before travelling back to Toa Payoh to meet her other friend. According to her, she haven't been home for 2 days. I thought what happened to her when Audrey told me she went drinking with HuiFen last night. It turned out that she was just feeling bored. PhEw~!

I am so tired after a day's work. Tonight, I shall have a good rest. GoodNight to me. TaTa~! =)

Seafood Feast

Went to JB with JiaRui and Audrey yesterday. Had a fun day together. Shopping, shopping and more shopping! HeHe~! We reached City Square at about 11AM and had brunch at the Chinese restaurant. Actually, only JiaRui ate there. I had fast food from MaryBrown. Audrey only had a packet of Milo. After brunch, it is time for shopping. Bought a blue blouse with polka dot prints, a pair of flats, a pair of heels, an overall and handbag. After all those shopping, we went for a seafood feast. Ordered chilli crabs, sting ray, FuRong egg, sambal kang kong and hot plate tofu. Yes, just the three of us. HaHa~! Despite ordering so much, we finished every bit of the food. The meal only cost us RM77, which was about S$35. JiaRui decides that we go there more often. I agree with her totally. HaHa~! Afterall, it is so much faster and nearer to go JB than to go town and the things there are so much cheaper. =P

Received my SIM Student Membership Card last night. Read the letter and realised that it acts as a CashCard, a library card and a discount card. Nice card.

Most probably going to SIM on Monday to make payment. JiaRui did not receive the letter. I hope she will receive it soon so that we can go to SIM together on Monday.

Went out for lunch with RoseMary and Megan just now. Megan happens to be Mr Morais' wife. Mr Morais was my Physics teacher in secondary school. RoseMary was telling us about a trip to Batam which her friend is organising. I feel like going too. Maybe during my term break in September. =)

Last week with SingTel. I am starting to count down to the number of work days left. Can't be more happy. HaHa~!

My Tutor Friend

Watched a Korean movie, My Tutor Friend on Channel U last night. The male lead is so good-looking and cool! The way he professed his love for his tutor was also very cute. HeE~! Anyway, it was such a funny movie that I laughed throughout the show. HaHa~!

Not working today. Woke up at 9AM. Meeting JiaRui to register for the Basic Theory Test later. Mommy came back from the market and saw me all dressed up. She asked me where am I going to. I told her and she started nagging. She complained that I did not tell her before going out and that I am always out. I think I've been a good girl for too long. Always reporting to her my whereabouts. When I stop doing that, she starts nagging. I am already 19 this year, but I feel that I am being treated like a primary school kid. ArGh~! I think mommy is being too strict with me. My sister gave her number to a RI guy and that guy keeps calling her but my parents are OK with it. They will not even accept me talking to a male friend. They will start asking if he is my boyfriend. If it is really what they think, I will have more than a dozen boyfriends. SiGh~!

I was doing some filing for the house last night. Didn't manage to finish 'coz there were too many papers to be filed. Mommy was nagging that I didn't file her documents and started saying that I am selfish. I was just trying to be nice. Can't she be more appreciative? SiGh~!

Was reading JiaRui's blog. She mentioned about Vinci being her male escort 'coz he lives in the same block of flats. I think it will be good to have a male escort. HaHa~! At least there is a guy around to protect you especially when it is already dark. Don't really like going home alone late at night. The quiet atmosphere sends the chill down my spine.

ChunHern SMS me this morning to greet me good day. He had been doing that quite often these days. It reminds me of our secondary school days when he used to SMS me every day and night without fail. I missed those days. Anyway, it is all in the past now. I am just glad he is still my friend. =)

My flu is getting better but my throat is still quite sore. I think I need honey.

Suki Yuki Yaki

Had dinner at Suki Yuki Yaki with JiaRui, MayHui, Audrey, Albert, Jake, Winston, Robby and Vinci last night. I mixed up my off day and thus Thursday's gathering was brought forward to yesterday. Audrey made a reservation for dinner at 7PM. She told me reservation was made under my name though it was she who called the restaurant. After work, Vinci, Albert and I took a bus to town. We were supposed to meet JiaRui and MayHui outside Cineleisure at 630PM, but we were late. We rushed all the way to Cineleisure only to find out that the reservation was made under Miss Audrey Teo. Never mind. We told the guy reservation was made for dinner at 7Pm but he said Audrey changed it to 730PM. We had no choice but to stroll around Cineleisure before Audrey comes. When 730Pm comes, Audrey was still on the way. We went back to the restaurant and talk to a lady regarding the reservation. She told us that they do not take in reservations. -_- We were all very angry and almost disputed. When Audrey finally came, the lady was very nice and arranged for tables to be cleared for us. We all looked at Audrey in amazement. We only settled down at about 745PM. The dinner was filled with fun and laughters, especially when we sat with Robby and JiaRui who spent the night fighting for prawns. They even had a prawn catching competition. HaHa~! Went home with Vinci after dinner. The rest went to KBox.

Will be going to JB again on 27 July. This time, it is with JiaRui and Audrey. Vinci might be coming along with us too. I told mommy about it last night. I was surprised she did not raise any objections. She just nagged a little about me going out very often nowadays. Phew~!

Two weeks more and I will be out of this place. HoOrAy~!

City Square

Went to JB with PeiYan and RoseMary yesterday. Mommy came along too. We went shopping at City Square. Had breakfast at a Chinese restaurant in the shopping mall. After breakfast, we started our shopping. Went for an eye examination at the optical shop and got contact lens. I struggled with the application for about 15 minutes before we continue with our shopping. I think I need more time to get used to putting the contact lens in. Bought a pair of shoes and a few T-shirts. We reached at about 1115AM and only went back at 7PM. I left with mommy first. PeiYan and RoseMary left later. PeiYan went to get transition lenses and thus the delay. It was a great day. Haven't been shopping for quite some time. Finally got a chance yesterday. =)

Jun SMS me yesterday. She called for the whole team to report for work an hour earlier today because our fellow counterparts at the other call centre could not work due to some system error. I had to wake up at 5AM this morning because of this. Was telling Rani about this just now. She was saying whenever they have problems, we have to suffer, but whenever we have problems, they do not bother. I think this is quite true. Anyway, Jun just e-mailed us to tell us that we can leave an hour earlier today due to the arrangement to report earlier. I think SingTel just do not want to pay for overtime. This company is getting stingy. It is a good thing I am leaving soon.

It was also JiaRui's last day at SingTel yesterday. I really envy her. She can enjoy herself while I am still stuck here. Anyway, it won't be long before my turn comes. By then, I will have 2 full days to myself. Yes, ONLY 2 days. SiGh~! No choice, need more money to satisfy my shopping crave. HaHa~!

JiaRui e-mailed us yesterday. In her e-mail, she mentioned reefwalk at KuSu Island. She was asking if we will be interested in the activity. I think this is not a bad idea. I haven't try that before and I think it will be quite fun if we can all go and explore marine life. I have never been to KuSu Island too. In fact, I have never been to any of the islands around Singapore other than our dear old Sentosa Island. Alright, I know I am kinda mountain-tortise. Please pardon me for that. Anyway, I hope we can go for the reefwalk. Really looking forward to that. =)

I think my resignation is approved. I wonder when is the exit interview. I think the exit interview is redundant. They are always asking for feedbacks but no improvements. SiGh~!

I am very sick. My flu is still as bad. The medicine don't seem to be working for me. I feel terrible.

Six

Watched 'Six' with JiaRui, Audrey and Jake on Sunday. JiaRui didn't watch the show at all. She was listening to Jake's IPodMini and covering herself with Audrey's sweater throughout the whole show. The show wasn't that scary. I only jumped once when they scream. In fact, some parts of the show were quite funny. The ending of the show was a sad one though.

Before the show, JiaRui came over to my house. I warned her of the mess but she insist on taking a look. She said that my room is not messy, but OK. HaHa~! She is just being nice. I really need to tidy up my room before school starts. Anyway, we read the magazines and talked about some beauty tricks before leaving my house to meet Audrey at Causeway Point.

Changed to Jun's team yesterday to join the permanent team. So far, so good. Will be tendering my resignation letter tomorrow. I find it a bit awkward to tender my resignation 3 days after I change to the new team, but I got to do it since I am required to give 2 weeks notice.

Going to JB with PeiYan and RoseMary this Thursday, our off day. Apparently, Jariah did not approve my OT application. I heard from Audrey that the management is cutting OT cost. SiGh~!

Not feeling well today. Getting dizzy spells and cramps. My body is aching too. I need Panadol.

Rainbow

I can slowly see colours in my surrounding now. The rainbow is starting to appear in the bright blue sky after the storm. The garden is full of bright beautiful flowers. The sunflowers are smiling from ear to ear as the sun shines brightly on them. It is as though I am in Wonderland. I feel great! Last month with SingTel. I have never felt so positive before.

I have the urge to shop. HuiJun is supposed to go to town with me last Saturday but the trip was called off because she lost her EZ-Link card. Speaking of the EZ-Link card, mine expired. Got a new one at $15, with a value of only $7. To make it worse, the design is so ugly. SiGh~! Met up with Pauline and RouShen at Bugis instead. Went to Bugis Street to get the straw bag. It is the same straw bag JiaRui and Audrey have. Same colour as the one JiaRui has. HaHa~!

I taught JiaRui how to post pictures on her blog using PhotoBucket yesterday. Today, she taught me how to post pictures using Blogger. HaHa~! Information sharing.

It has been a long day. Extended my service for 2 hours today. Gonna work OT for the whole of this week. I need the money. SiGh~!
