Ups and Downs

Was at Causeway Point this afternoon. Went to Popular to get some primary 3 assessment books and guides for Jaslyn. Ended up with $68.28 worth of books. Gotta call her mommy to get approval before I buy. I am lucky that she is quite generous when it comes to her daughter's academic performance. Just in case you were thinking that all parents should be, my twin students' parents are not.

Speaking of the Lee's makes my blood boils. It is the 8th lesson today. My pay day. Today's lesson was quite normal, with the usual deobedience. As promised, I brought lollipop for them. Mrs Lee was not very happy about that. She told me not to bring them sweets anymore. I wanted to ask her how to control her two precious boys without sweets when sweets are like everything in the world to them. I kept that to myself and smiled at her. After the lesson, she asked me why aren't I teaching them grammar and vocabulary. I couldn't take it anymore! I told her straight in the face that her children aren't fast enough for that. They can't even speak properly! Then she ask me how long will it take for me to finish teaching phonics. It will of course depend on the students' learning ability! Honestly, it will take a long time for them to grasp that. I told her it will take time as their foundation needs to be strengthened before they can learn new things. She 'questioned' me for quite a while before sending me to the door, without the money. I had to remind her that it is the 8th lesson today. She still had the cheek to ask me "Is it?" ArGh~! She went in to take the money and continued 'questioning' me. All the while she held the money in her hands tightly. I kept looking at my watch, trying to hint to her my intention to leave. She finally let go of her tight grip after 15 minutes and handed me the money. SiGh~!

Heard some really bad news when I got home. Aunt Kee passed on after a long and painful battle with cancer. Wasn't very close to her but was still quite sad. She used to dote on me when I was little. I remember playing masak-masak with the ornaments in her house and she never scolds me for doing that, only asked me to put them back in their original positions after playing. In my memory, she was a kind and graceful lady. It is a pity she passed on at such young age. HaI~!

HuiJun asked if I wanna watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with her after her A'level. Had to turn her down 'coz I have agreed to watch it with my best friends. I think this is the first time I am not watching a Harry Potter movie with her. Well, there've gotta be a first time. =X

*IrEnE lOoKs At ThE tImE nOw* It is getting late. Time for bed. Goodnight!
