Growing up

People change. I miss the innocent kids who used to play hide-n-seek in the school field. I miss the fun we had in school. But alas, all these are gone and we will never re-live that part of our lives again. Whatever we maybe doing now, the burden on our shoulders has undoubtedly grown heavier as we all grow older. What goes on in our mind is never going to be as simple as sweets and chocolates anymore. The time left behind for our families and friends will slowly become insignificant. I guess that is the price to pay for growing up. Sometimes, I just wish that kids will never grow up. This way, they will be happy for as long as they live.

SingPost

Today's training is at SingPost. Though it's quite far from my place, I still prefer it to TEPL building which I had my training for the past three days. Well, there are several reasons pertaining to that conclusion:

1. I only have to take the MRT when I go to SingPost, but I have to take the MRT then transfer to one of the six buses there when I go to TEPL building.

2. There are more choices for lunch and more places for me to explore at SingPost as compared to TEPL building.

3. The SingPost building looks more sophisticated than TEPL building.

But, there is one thing I don't like about SingPost. There is no one to go home with me! I think I stay the furthest from there. When we were at TEPL building, Joy always go home with me 'coz she stays at Jurong. Now, she takes direct train from Paya Lebar. I went home with the guys today. But still, I was alone after Ang Mo Kio. Somehow, the trip home made us better colleagues I guess. At least I get to know them better, especially Dave and David. Don't really talk to them during training, but I think they are nice people. =)

Joy, Joslyn, Joan, May Hui, Farhana and I were talking about boyfriends just now. We kept referring to the five guys sitting beside us. HaHa~! The discussion made me think of how my ideal boyfriend should be like:

1. Someone taller than me, but not too much taller.

2. Someone who is well-built.

3. Someone with a boy-next-door look.

4. Someone who will take care of himself.

5. Someone who will take care of me before he takes care of himself.

6. Someone who knows how to play the guitar, and sings love songs to me every now and then.

7. Someone who will love me forever.

8. Someone who is willing to sacrifice for my sake.

9. Someone who is willing to accept me for who I am.

10. Someone who is willing to think of our future.

11. Someone who is responsible.

12. Someone who is honest.

13. Someone who is willing to work hard towards his goals.

15. Someone who will surprise me everyday with a small gesture.

17. Someone who is willing to share his life with me, and mine with him.

19. Someone romantic.

20. Someone fun.

I think it is quite hard to find a guy like this nowadays. Anyway, this is only an ideal. I understand that no one is perfect, and will never expect my future boyfriend to be perfect.

My 2nd aunt and cousins came yesterday. We went to town later in the evening. Orchard Road was closed from 6-11PM due to a street performance for Christmas. The streets were too packed so we went into Wisma Atria to shop. My cousins were looking for evening gowns for Christmas parties, so I brought them to Daniel Yam. I tried a black gown with a big bow. It was magnificent, but I had nowhere to wear to so I didn't buy in the end. My cousins didn't buy too 'coz I think they had already tailor-made one each. By the time we reach Yishun, it was already 10.30PM. It was until then that we had our dinner. After dinner, we led my cousins to the causeway and left. By the time I take my bath it was already 12AM. After packing everything into my bag, I finally get to sleep at 1.30AM. Woke up at 6.30AM this morning. I am so tired now. But there is ShI zI lU kOu tonight, and they are featuring S.H.E. It is the second part of their ShangHai challenge this week and I don't wanna miss it since I have already watched the first part last week. ArGh~!

Fun day out

Met up with Ee Hui, Wei Qi, Daniel, Danqing, Xian Wang and Jason this morning. Wei Qi and I thought we were late when we reached Clementi MRT station, where we were supposed to meet at 0945HRS. It turned out that the guys were later than us. Especially Xian Wang, who lives nearest to the meeting place.

We went to Bukit Timah Community Centre to play badminton for 2 hours. It was fun though tiring. Haven't been playing badminton since Sec 4. After that, we went to the hawker centre near Clementi MRT to have our lunch. After lunch, we went to play pool. 2 hours passed quickly as we had our fill of fun at the pool tables. Learnt quite a lot from the guys today. We walked to a nearby shop that sells pirated CDs after having a drink at Mr Bean. Spent around half an hour there. I bought a chinese input software and a French<->English talking dictionary. We went to Comic Connections too. Saw Fullmetal Alchemist keychains and pictorial books there. They have Tarot cards too. I was very interested in those cards but I've decided not to touch them 'coz I heard that they can be dangerous since they are considered to be evil.

Went to Causeway Point with Wei Qi later in the evening. I visited Nokia to ask them about the style pen for N6108 which my daddy lost. Too bad the stock isn't in yet and they only have the pocket stylus at the moment. We went to Hallmarks to look for Precious Moment's passport cover after that. The passport cover is so cute! But alas, it is sold out too.

Oh, saw ZuXian at Admiralty MRT on my way home just now. Hee, I like his style now. The hair is nice. The clothes are nice. His face without his glasses is nice. Everything is so co-ordinated. =)

By the way, Janice called me this afternoon to tell me that Singtel has decided to hire me. Finally, I have a job. Hee, so happy! I am going to her office at Raffles Place tomorrow to give her some things, so I might go to the Hallmarks in town to check out the passport cover. I hope they have it there. *PrAys*

Graduation Night

A Night of Elegance. Indeed it was. Everyone looked so different. Felt a bit sad when I was leaving the hotel last night, when everyone went separate ways.

Orchard Road at 12AM is beautiful. There are not as many people as in the day, and of course not as busy. The air is so cool and the place is so serene. After walking around for a while, Vanessa's dad drove me home. It was so nice of them.

By the way, they showed the result for Singapore Idol Final Showdown last night at the ballroom. Taufik won. Kinda expected him to win. He had been in the safe zone for many rounds.

Went for another job interview just now. Lost my way there. When I finally reach, a guy called out to me on his car and asked me for directions to Sembawang Shipyard. How'd I know when I just lost my way? So, I told him I don't know. When I was about to turn and walk away, he called me again to ask me if I was interested in some events where many models from all over the world will be attending. Crazy. I just told him I am not interested, neither am I free. He gave me his namecard and ask me to call him if I change my mind. As if I will call. I just took it to stop him from pestering me again.

I hate the job I interviewed for. It pays only $5/hour and no CPF contributions, no staff benefits and no everything. Worse thing is that the assignment is only valid until March'05. Which means that I will have to look for a new job after March. ArGh~! Waste my time to go there. I had another interview at Sim Lim Tower but was forced to postpone it to tomorrow because I couldn't reach there on time. All because I lost my way at Senoko. Shouldn't have gone for that interview. Hai~!

As I was making my way to the bus stop opposite the factory, someone blew cat whistle at me. I don't understand why people have to do that. It is simply idoitic. Anyway, I was only wearing short skirt and a toga top. What's wrong with that?

Daniel messaged me just now. CTG 108 is going to watch The Polar Express tomorrow at Lido. I've watched it before, but I might meet up with them after the movie. Promised to meet up with Rou Shen and Pauline tomorrow too. Rou Shen wants to get a laptop so most likely we will be going to Sim Lim Square. SiGh~! So many appointments tomorrow.

Welcome on BORED

Woke up at 10AM today. Pieced up a bit of my puzzle after breakfast. Please note that the puzzle had been left untouched since 2002. Can you imagine how thick the layer of dust was when I took it down from the top of my cupboard? YuCk~!

Was intending to skip lunch again today but had Mac in the end 'coz mommy decided to sponsor me. Had skipped lunch for 2 days 'coz I am bankrupt.

Anyway, Rachel from UOB called again today regarding my application for Customer Service Assistant. She asked me to go down to UOB plaza for an interview at 4PM this Friday. I hope IRAS calls me before my interview. Frankly speaking, I'd prefer the job at IRAS than the one at UOB. =X

Nonetheless, it was great to hear from UOB 'coz at least I know that I am not useless. =)

The paper today was OK. Hope it turns out OK too. =X

UOB called me while I was having the exam. I've applied for a job as a Customer Service Assistant with them. They called at 1511HRS and my paper ended at 1530HRS. ArGh~! Why couldn't they call later?!

I don't care. If IRAS call me before UOB does, then I am going for IRAS.

Hee, it's holiday time! Finally it's here! WooHoo~!

I am only left with Bio Paper 1, which is MCQ, on Thursday. Why couldn't they just arrange it to be on today?! If it is today, I can just dye my hair tomorrow. If it doesn't turn out well, at least I can go to the salon in JB to fix it since daddy is going on Wednesday. Hai~! Now, I can only hope that the colour will turn out right.

Twelve Nights

Watched "Twelve Nights" on Channel 8 last night. The story is about how the relationship between a guy and a girl changes as time passes by. Every relationship that the girl has is of the same pattern.

On the first night, the girl used the guy to break up with her boyfriend. After that, the girl cried the whole night and the guy accompanied her through the night.

On the second night, the guy used the girl to break up with her girlfriend. After that, the guy and the girl are an item.

On the third night, the guy called the girl, asking to meet her. The girl refused because the guy had to attend a meeting the next day and she advised him to rest early. They end up talking through the night on phone, with the guy asking to meet her every now and then. They talked till the next morning when the guy brought breakfast for the girl at her house.

On the forth night, the guy and the girl was in the girl's apartment. They were talking about themselves and the girl asked the guy what else about him that she doesn't know. They guy told her he has hepatitis B. The girl was shocked to hear that. She started asking if he had relapses. The guy got angry and stormed off.

On the fifth night, the girl and the guy set off for a holiday because the guy is on leave. The guy asked the girl why do they have to go on a holiday when he is on leave. The girl asked the guy why can't they go on a holiday when he is on leave. While at the train station, they met the girl's ex-colleague. The guy was jealous when the girl and her ex-colleague hit it off so well. While they are alone again, the guy asked the girl if her ex-colleague had wooed her before. She said yes and told the guy honestly that they even had sex before. Obviously, the guy was very angry and they had a heated argument. The train came and the girl threw the magazine she was reading straight in the guy's face before she boarded the train. She sat in the train, silently waiting for the guy to come and comfort her. Instead, she saw him sitting on the bench just like before. She was very angry and turned her head away from the window. When she looked again, the guy was gone. She was so angry she started stomping her feet. The guy was already in the train, sitting in the seat opposite to hers. The guy coughed deliberately to tell the girl that he is already on the train. She saw him and was delighted but she pretended to be still angry with him. The guy joked with the girl and then made her go over to sit with him. The girl was very happy until the guy said, "That's my girl." She started sulking after that.

On the sixth night, the girl was out with her friends. She was bored and called the guy. The guy was at his office working overtime. She told the guy that she wanna meet him and asked if she could go to his office to watch him while he work. The guy said no at first, but she insisted. So, she took the train to his office. When the train reached the station, she alighted, but boarded the train again after a while. Then she called the guy and told him that she is not going over anymore. She took the train to and fro, changing her mind every now and then, until the guy knock off. The guy went to buy her breakfast and as usual brought it up to her house. When he was about to press the doorbell, his phone rang. It was the girl. She called to ask him if he was home yet. He said no. Then she told him to rest early and wished him Goodnight. The guy was bored.

On the seventh night, they were preparing to go for a gala dinner. The girl was in a sexy evening gown. The guy was very unhappy. He asked the girl to change. She changed over and over again and he was unhappy with every dress she had. In the end, she wore her housemate's dress, which was plain and simple. While in the lift, she asked the guy whether he will still love her if she is not what she is anymore. The guy was hesistant with the answer. The girl was very angry.

On the eighth night, the girl went to the repair shop to pick up the guy's laptop because he was supposed to go overseas that night. It was very late and the shop had already closed. She pleaded with the shopkeeper to let her collect the laptop. She succeeded after much trouble. She rushed to the guy's office only to see him walking out with his colleagues leisurely. The guy told her that he had rescheduled his flight. She passed him the laptop and a bag of briefs she had bought for him. He told her that he is going out with his colleagues and asked her to go home. They had a big fight and broke up in the end.

On the ninth night, the girl went to her friend's office and cried. Her friend called the guy up pretending that she had called the wrong number, so that the girl could listen to the guy's voice. The guy appeared nonchalant. For the rest of the night, the girl looked listless and kept telling her friend that she regretted breaking up with the guy. After her friend counseled her, she was fine again.

On the tenth night, she met up with the guy. She told him how she felt after they broke up. When she finished, she saw that the guy was asleep.

On the eleventh night, they were back together again.

On the twelveth night, the girl was posted to Hawaii for her job. The guy applied for a year's leave to go with her. She met up with her ex-boyfriend and realised that he did not cheat on her. She regretted breaking up with him. She was on her way to the guy's office and decided not to meet him afterall. The guy caught a glimpse of the girl before she left. He searched the whole vicinity but to no avail. She saw him searching for her and hid herself from him. She met another guy while doing so. They chatted and that is the start of the first night again.

I think that is exactly what happened in a relationship. The guy's interest in the girl only lasts for a while. When a couple breaks up, the girl usually finds it harder to accept the fact that they are no longer together. When the guy try to salvage the relationship, it is usually too late. Hai~!

Satisfied

I just came back. Bought an OP sling bag just now. I am sooooo happy! KeKe~!

Watched Singapore Idol just now. Poor Olinda got voted out of the competition. I have a feeling that Taufik is gonna win this competition. =X

I am so tired. Gotta study hard for Bio option later.

I wanted to blog yesterday, but when I clicked on the "Publish Post" button, it gave me a page that says, "No page to display", and my whole post just disappeared. ArGh~! Now, I am going to post for yesterday, and the earlier half of today.

Yesterday
Woke up early to re-boot my computer. After installing all the necessary softwares and programmes, I logged on to the internet. Once I was online, Andry, Jason, and Balielah added me to their conversation. It was like a mini CTG108 online gathering. HaHa~! I remember having a mass Chiang Rai Trip 2003 online gathering soon after we returned to Singapore. It was fun. HaHa~! OK, back to CTG108. KeKe~! Not long after starting the conversation, I was away for a while. When I came back, Balielah disconnected and we couldn't invite her in when she was online again. After a while, my mommy asked me to help her out in the kitchen, so I went away again. When I returned, Jason was gone. So, I had a one-to-one conversation with Andry. We talked about Indiana, the place he is currently studying in. He was telling me that the tallest building there is only 10 storeys, and the music school is 2nd in the States, while the business school used to be in Top 10, now it's in the 11th place. After some time, I logged off for lunch.

After cleaning up the kitchen, I went into my room and cleared away stacks of used paper. I organised the notes too, and kept them away in a safe corner of my room. Now, it looks more like a place for human beings to live in. =X

Today
I set my alarm at 8AM, but I ended up sleeping past the alarm this morning 'coz I was very tired from yesterday's cleaning. Fortunately, my paper is in the afternoon.

Actually, the alarm on my phone went off once at 7AM. I off it and went back to sleep. I only realised that it is Jayanthi's birthday when I see my phone as I wake up. Gonna send her an e-card later.

I'll blog again when I come back later. It is getting late, and I ought to get ready for school.

Mad Girl Disease

Those who have read my Friendster's profile must have gotten a very bad shock 'coz that is not what I will usually write. But, thank goodness, I've changed it back to the original one.

I was really bored yesterday. Fortunately, my cousin was kind enough to chat with me through the night.

Had Lor Mee, indian rojak, and spagetthi for dinner last night. I know it is a lot, but I couldn't help it 'coz I was too hungry. But, I think my appeitite is going back to normal now. I can't even finish my bread now. As usual.

Don't understand what is happening to me. Had been really abnormal recently. It's like another person had taken over me. Hai~!

No paper tomorrow. Can use it to study for Bio option.

I am so bored that I have decided to add another entry here.

Penniless is the word to describe me now. I am so vexed over money matters that I can't even sleep sometimes. I need to get a job! FAST!!! Hai~! Shouldn't have bought the phone so soon. Now I owe my daddy 50 bucks. =X

I seriously need money. I need money for prom. I need money for Christmas presents. I need money for shopping. I need money to LIVE. ArGh~!

Just sent an e-mail to my cousin, begging her to plan something with me for the holidays. I wonder why am I so eager about it since A's is still in progress. And I wonder why I sent her an e-mail instead of a SMS. I think I am just MAD.

Graduation

It is Graduation Day this Friday! Finally it has come. Though graduation will mean that my monotonous JC life is finally coming to an end, it will also mean that A'level is on the way, and coming very soon... ...

I'm very worried about my maths. Statistics is fine, but pure maths is the one that kills me. ArGh~!

I hope I can make it through for A'level... ...

My sis is going to be an IDOL!!! HaHa~! Not Singapore Idol though. It's Greenwood Idol, but I guess it will be quite fun too. Her friends volunteered her. I think she has what it takes to be a school idol too. I hope she wins. =)

It is my nephew's first birthday this Saturday. Haven't got him a present yet. Hmmm, what should I get for him? I think there is nothing much more appropriate than toys for a one-year-old toddler. I shall go and shop around Kiddy Palace tomorrow to see what I can get for him. Hopefully, no one gets him the same gift. There was once my cousin and I bought the same present for another cousin. We bought two identical bags for him. I've learnt my lesson from then on, and decided to go somewhere farther to get presents next time. Really hate to have the same things as my cousins.

Haven't been blogging for quite some time. I guess I am just too lazy, and maybe a little tired too. Nothing much happened anyway. I lead a very boring life. Think that's all for today. TaTa~!

Annoyed

Think I might remove the ShoutBox soon. Not many people tag on it anyway, and some annoying people are abusing the use of the ShoutBox, particularly XOXO. I don't know why he/she hate me so much, but it is still not very nice to use my friends' names to curse me.

Had Chemistry paper 1 today. The paper so hard that I almost couldn't finish the whole paper. Finished question 40 just before he said, "Stop writing". Hai~!

Zuzz said he likes my old hairstyle better. Hmm, but my new hairstyle is more manageable. HaHa~! Anyway, I will be visiting the hairdresser again soon.

Went to the International Food Festival at Suntec City yesterday. The place was so crowded that I could hardly move. Nothing much there, but the usual brand names that appear at almost every food fair. But, there was one which I like very much. Golden Boronia. Golden Boronia makes very nice nougats. I love them. Was quite surprised to see it there. They were selling the jumbo pack nougats for 30 bucks per pack. I was very tempted to buy. Lucky I didn't carry enough cash yesterday. HaHa~!

Gonna tidy up my room later. It became very messy after the holidays.

Life is a bore

Term break is coming to an end. I had been studying like mad over the past one week. Hopefully I can do better than my mid-year this time.

Saw Zuzz at Causeway Point yesterday. He changed quite a bit since the last time I saw him, which was very long ago. HaHa~! Anyway, I was quite happy to see him again.

Bought a new digital camera. The photos taken were quite nice. =)

Bought a pair of shoes at Metro too. It was on sale. Quite a steal actually, 'coz the original price is $10 more than what they are selling now.

Prelims start with Biology paper 1 and paper 2 tomorrow. Hai~! *PrAy PrAy*

Wasted morning

It is already half past eleven now, and all I had done was eat. Woke up at around 7AM this morning. No school today 'coz the J1s are having exams. I was woken up by my sister, who was getting ready to go to the stadium for her school's annual sports meet. I went back to sleep shortly after she left the house. Then I was woken up again by the noise from my handphone's vibration. My cousin sent me a Good Morning SMS. Went back to sleep again after off-ing the phone. Then my mommy came. She nudged me up and asked me why I was still in bed. Apparently, she had forgotten I told her yesterday, that there is no school today. So, she left me alone, and went to the market. At around 9.30AM, the house phone rang. My mommy called and asked me if I wanna join her for breakfast. I was kinda hungry, so I agreed, but she wanted me to be there in 10 minutes! How is that ever possible?! I can't even get ready in 10 minutes. Plus, I need time to wait for the lift, and walk there? That will take at least 5 minutes. I was late anyway. By the time I got there, she had already finished her breakfast. So, I gotta buy breakfast myself. Ate vegetarian bee hoon. Not very nice, but that is the best I could find at that food court this morning. Wanted to eat dim sum, but the dim sum there don't look too good.

Hmmm, I didn't know so many people will take interest in this blog. I don't remember advertising it on any form of mass media. I thought only those that are in my MSN contact list will know, but it seems that there are people I don't know who know it too. But anyway, it is ok. I've got nothing to hide here.

Practical

Had my prelim chemistry practical on Friday. Didn't do the planning experiment, but I almost finished planning the experiment. Didn't have the time to finish my deduction for QA too.

Had a terrible flu this morning. Must be the aircon in the theatre yesterday. So freaking cold. Luckily, there are still flu medicine in the medicine cabinet to save my nose.

I will be having my prelim biology practical tomorrow. I am nervous. I am not exactly skilful in biology practicals, especially microscopy, and I am so dead sure that they are going to set a question on microscopy tomorrow. Think I better go and familiarise myself with more animal and plant slides NOW. TaTa~!

Black Friday

Argh~! I hate Friday Thirteen!

I am in school now, waiting for my mock biology practical exam to start at 2.30PM. Guess what happened to me this morning? My calculator's battery went flat! I couldn't do a single thing during maths tutorial just now. Hai~! No choice, I gotta borrow Siang Ping's calculator. Can't borrow just anyone else's calculator 'coz I'm too used to the old calculator we bought in Sec 1. I am glad Siang Ping is in the same school as I do. HaHa~! Thanks Pinky! =)

Today is supposed to be a short day(8.00AM-1.10PM) for me, but we have the mock biology practical exam, so it turn out to be a long day(8.00AM-5.00PM) instead. Hai~!

Hopefully, nothing bad happens to me again later, especially during the practical exam. I have a feeling this practical exam is gonna be quite hard. I am scared. Argh~! I just wanna get this over and done with so that I can at least relax a bit during the weekend. Haven't got the chance to really let my hair down since school reopened on Wednesday, after the comfortable 4 and a half day holiday. Unfortunately, I think this kinda life is gonna last me till the end of the year, at least until my A's is over. Sad. =(

Anyway, not much time to meddle with site matters now. Prelims in 4 weeks time. The position of my heart is currently somewhere above where it used to be and slightly below the throat. It will slowly ascend up to my mouth as the time goes by......
